COC request for an Order permitting a single-family dwelling where the  limit of work and the corner of the deck are within the buffer zone to a freshwater wetland. Both of the decks have been extended slightly outside the buffer.

Revision to the Plan

The revision to the Plan is for landscaping, including a low (1-3”) stone retaining wall and (15’x 12’) bluestone patio, both built without concrete. The proposal includes a stepping-stone walkway and planting beds with wildflowers and native shrubs. Due to the low height of a connecting breezeway between the house and cottage, the construction site will be accessed below the cottage. This area has invasive bittersweet and honeysuckle which will be removed and replaced with bayberry and switch grass. The Rosa rugosa in this area will be cut down and allowed to grow back. No changes to the buildings or decks are proposed with this revision.
